Bengal polls: Bombs, bricks hurled at BJP chief Dilip Ghosh’s automobile in Cooch Behar allegedly by TMC employees

Dilip Ghosh close to his broken car after he was allegedly attacked following an election assembly within the Sitalkuchi space of Cooch Behar on Wednesday.

Bharatiya Janata Party chief Dilip Ghosh has claimed that he suffered accidents after Trinamool Congress employees attacked his automobile with country-made bombs and bricks in Cooch Behar. Ghosh, the cheief of social gathering’s West Bengal unit, mentioned that his automobile’s window glasses have been smashed within the assault. 

The BJP chief mentioned that he was hit a brick and he suffered accidents in left hand. The incident occurred at Sitalkuchi after a rally. He mentioned that police didn’t act to stop the assault on him and BJP employees.

According to experiences, TMC employees coming back from a rally addressed by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, which was held in a close-by city, received embroiled in a conflict with BJP employees who have been attending Ghosh’s rally. 

“I was waiting in my vehicle…we were attacked with bombs, bricks and sticks by people holding TMC flags. It was like a Talibani attack,” he mentioned, including that “if this is the situation, how can one expect free and fair polls in Cooch Behar, where people had voted for change in the 2019 Lok Sabha election”.

Meanwhile, BJP employees sat on a dharna exterior the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) workplace in Kolkata demanding motion towards the culprits. 

Cooch Behar district will go to polls within the fourth part on April 10. The BJP had received seven seats in North Bengal, together with Cooch Behar, within the 2019 common elections.
