Azadpur to grow to be Delhi Metro’s 2nd triple interchange station

The Azadpur station on Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line community would grow to be the second triple interchange facility of the mass speedy transit system after the Kashmere Gate Metro station.

The Azadpur station will join three metro corridors — Yellow, Pink and RK Ashram-Janakpuri West hall of Phase IV.

At current, the Yellow line station of Azadpur is elevated and the its Pink line station is underground. The new Metro hyperlink beneath section IV may have paid to paid space connectivity with each Yellow and Pink line stations of Azadpur.

The new Metro hyperlink will join Azadpur and its peripheral areas straight with areas reminiscent of Sadar Bazar, Pulbangash, Ghanta Ghar and Derawal Nagar. Also, areas like Pitampura, Mangolpuri, Madhuban Chowk, Peeragarhi and Janakpuri which can be positioned in North-West Delhi can be related.

All these areas all the time stay congested and particularly the stretch of Sadar Bazar and Ghanta Ghar. This new metro hyperlink is anticipated to ease the highway congestion in these routes.

The size of RK Ashram Marg-Janakpuri West hall will probably be 28.92 km.

Approximately, 30,000 new passengers are anticipated to make use of the hyperlink when it opens for the general public. Currently, Azadpur Metro Station caters to round 15,000 passengers per day.
